Crenshaw Gardens is a proposed 49 unit, mixed use, family affordable housing development that will be built in close proximity to the nexus of the Exposition and Crenshaw Metro stops, located 300 yards south of the site. The new building will feature 5,500 feet of ground floor retail space designed to accommodate multiple restaurant users and related retail tenants. The building will revitalize this block of Crenshaw Boulevard, compliment the Crenshaw Beautification Plan and implement the latest architectural guidelines embodied in the Crenshaw Boulevard Specific Plan. Financed with several funding sources, Crenshaw Gardens will feature 19 three bedroom units, 8 two bedroom units and 20 one bedrooms. The building will be constructed to qualify for LEED Gold Certification upon completion.
